What time is it? Time for community-minded men and women to consider membership in the Westfield Kiwanis Club! (Click the icon at right for forecast).
	The Kiwanis Club of Westfield was formed on December 18, 1922. Since its inception, our service club and members have been intimately involved with the daily life of the City of Westfield and the Greater Westfield community. Community service is at the heart of what we do. The Westfield Kiwanis Club founded the Westfield Boys & Girls Club in 1969 and continues to support that club financially. Westfield Kiwanis also founded and supports Little League baseball and softball in Westfield. The Kiwanis Club manages the city's annual "Lights for Liberty" Independence Day fireworks show at Stanley Park. Westfield Kiwanis supports many youth-oriented programs in Westfield, including youth hockey and soccer, and sponsors Kiwanis-affiliated Key Clubs at local high schools and Circle K at Westfield State College. The club supports library programs for children, provides citizenship awards for deserving local students, and supports our elder residents through the Westfield Council on Aging. Kiwanis also sponsors an annual bicycle safety rodeo in Westfield. As a member of Kiwanis International and the New England District of Kiwanis, Westfield Kiwanis Club is part of an organization that seeks to benefit children and youth regionally, nationally and internationally.

	The Westfield Kiwanis Club raises and distributes more than $30,000 annually to deserving charitable causes in our community. Among our major fund-raising projects are our annual Cable TV Auction, held the first Sunday in March, the city's annual "Lights for Liberty" fireworks show held July 3 at Stanley Park, and our Kiwanis Peanut Day sale, held on the first Saturday after Labor Day. Some of the beneficiaries of our fund-raising efforts have been: Westfield Boys and Girls Club Kiwanis Foundation of New England Westfield Little League. Babe Ruth baseball, girls softball Westfield Youth Hockey Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute Bike Rodeo/Safety Program Seniors Picnic Westfield Head Start Western Mass.
